Hi!

Longest and maybe busiest working day so far! I have been working more or less nonstop for 10 hours and have to say it was a bit too much. Nevertheless today has been very very useful!

So today we had a trial-exhibition in Blue Project Space on UCA campus. Áine Belton and Matthew de Pulford was with us in the space and helped us a lot by having tutorials, asking questions and pushing us a bit to solve problems dealing with composition and to bring everything together. We also had an ongoing dialogue with them during the whole day and I think I can speak for all of us redthreadtrail-ers when I say it was so thankful for all their support and help towards making this project as good as possible! In the afternoon Rachael and I also had a tutorial with Matthew about the dissertation-themed essay we are going to do for the research practise unit. And by the end of the day Áine helped us write our artist statements. In between this I also worked on finishing the boxes a bit more, and before heading home I scrubbed the floor in my square in the project space, and I painted the walls. It was so messy! But it feels good to have done it and tomorrow I will focus on drilling in the wall and hanging one or two of the paintings to see how they look on the wall.
