Hello everyone!
I am not going to write much today, I would just like to
update you on my art in the park project. On Sunday evening I updated facebook
and my blog to let people know that there were still 6 paintings out here
waiting to be found. I took a risk leaving them in the gardens as I didn’t know
what will happen to them. However I was encouraged when I checked my email
Monday night, two more paintings found! This time by a young family with four
children who I knew. She had emailed me photos and gave positive feedback which
was nice. My friend from uni said she had been searching that morning but
couldn’t find any! I reassured her that the easier ones had been found, the
rest are a bit tricker, which makes it more exciting. I will be very surprised if
anyone finds the miniscule painting in the nutshell, it is almost non-existent.
I quickly updated facebook and my blog again, as I am using as a record of the
process.
Today I had a really helpful tutorial with Jost, a painting
tutor. He was really positive about my studio paintings which built my
confidence a bit. He also showed me loads of interesting artists to inspire me
and my paintings technique/working process. Thanks Jost for your suppport!
Tomorrow I will go to the Westgate Gardens early to check
the state of the remaining paintings and see if the rain has had any effect.
There is also a oil painting workshop on all day which I am looking forward to.
Rachael
